Heinz Field

Heinz Field

At Heinz Field, we provided the in-house cable television system. Even though this system is more than six years old, we built it to be compatible with the current HDTV standards. During construction we were awarded the broadcast cabling system. When you watch a Steelers game, this is the system that gets television from throughout the stadium to the television production trucks, and, eventually, to your TV. This involved custom connector panels, cabling, and terminations for Cat5e, telephone, balanced audio, fiber, coaxial, and tri-axial cabling. We also provided custom-made stainless steel enclosures to house some of the interconnections.

After completion of the stadium, we were asked to install fifty inch plasma screens hanging from the suncreens. For these we not only provided the control and fiber systems to get the signals to the screens, but we also designed and installed structural steel hoist platforms, winches, and television supports. All of this was reviewed and approved by our licensed structural engineer.

Today we maintain all of the audio/visual systems for Heinz Field. This includes multiple systems with both local and remote control.
